Itinerary details
- On the first day, you will arrive at Siliguri. Our Gangtok Darjeeling tour representative will meet you at the airport/railway station and transfer you to your hotel in Gangtok. After checking in and freshening up, you can spend the evening exploring the local markets and trying out some local cuisine. Overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.
- On the second day, you will go on a full-day excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir. After breakfast, you will leave for Tsomgo Lake, which is located at an altitude of 12,400 ft above sea level. You can enjoy the scenic beauty of the lake and also take a yak ride around the lake. Next, you will visit Baba Mandir, which is a popular pilgrimage site dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh, a soldier of the Indian Army who died in 1968. You can offer prayers and seek blessings at the temple. Return to Gangtok in the evening and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.
- On the third day, you will go for a full day Gangtok local sightseeing tour.After breakfast, you will visit some of the popular tourist attractions in Gangtok, such as the Enchey Monastery, the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, and the Do Drul Chorten Stupa.You can also visit the Gangtok Ropeway and get a panoramic view of the city.In the evening, you can explore the MG Marg, which is a popular shopping street in Gangtok.Overnight stay at the hotel in Gangtok.
- On the fourth day, you will check out from your hotel in Gangtok and proceed to Darjeeling.Enroute, you can visit the famous Teesta River and also stop at the Coronation Bridge for some scenic views.Upon arrival in Darjeeling, check-in at your hotel and spend the evening at leisure.Overnight stay at the hotel in Darjeeling.
- On the fifth day, you will go for a full day Darjeeling sightseeing tour. Early morning, you can visit the Tiger Hill to witness the beautiful sunrise and also get a panoramic view of the Himalayan Range. Next, you can visit the Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop, and the Peace Pagoda. After breakfast, you will visit other popular tourist attractions in Darjeeling, such as the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, and the Tibetan Refugee Centre. In the evening, you can explore the local markets and try out some local cuisine. Overnight stay at the hotel in Darjeeling.
- On the final day, you will check out from your hotel in Darjeeling and proceed to the Darjeeling Railway Station. You will then take the UNESCO-listed Toy Train ride from Darjeeling to Kurseong, which is a beautiful experience.
